Accreditation

Les Roches has numerous accreditations and professional memberships in various organizations worldwide, signifying its determination to maintain the highest possible educational standards.

New England Association of Schools & Colleges

The New England Association of Schools & Colleges, Inc. (NEASC) is America's oldest regional accrediting association whose goal is to establish and maintain the highest standards for all levels of education from primary to doctoral levels. NEASC accredits 1,848 public and independent schools, colleges and universities in the U.S. Les Roches was the first Swiss hospitality college offering its own Bachelor of Business Administration (Hospitality) Degree to receive accreditation from NEASC.

The NEASC accreditation applies to Les Roches programmes up to the Bachelors level, providing valid assurance that the quality of career opportunities available to our graduates is at the highest possible level. Les Roches is guaranteed to have the necessary resources available to our students to provide them with the tools for success both now and in the future.

Swiss Hotel Association

The Swiss Hotel Association was founded in 1882 and is the official organization representing the Swiss Hotel Industry. The SHA groups more than 2700 Swiss Hotels from exclusive establishments of international appeal, to smaller family-run taverns tucked away in tiny villages. SHA has been closely involved in all aspects of the Swiss Hotel Industry's development for more than a century and therefore maintains its unique position in the hospitality industry.

Since its founding, the SHA has placed importance on the training of hotel personnel at all levels. Since 1893, the SHA has opened more than 20 training hotels throughout Switzerland. Les Roches works closely with the SHA and other Swiss hotel schools to ensure that our students benefit fully from the organisation's century of experience in the industry. Representatives from the SHA visit our campus regularly throughout the year to assess our standards and provide additional industry expertise.

Other Recognitions/Memberships

The collaboration with Universidad Europea, CEES (UEM), whose MBA is hosted at Les Roches and the partnership developed with the International Management Centres Association (IMCA) to provide an executive online Masters Programme, have been milestones in Les Roches’ pursuit of academic excellence. Les Roches has also been accredited by the Hotel and Catering International Management Association, which is based in the United Kingdom. This accreditation is based on the correspondence of the Les Roches curriculum to the HCIMA Corpus of Management Excellence, a research-based model of key skills required of an industry professional. Additionally, in 2002, Les Roches was honored to be the first Hotel School presented with the Green Globe Award. This award was created by the World Tourism Organization to encourage eco-friendly tourism development, and praised our faculty and students for bringing ecological issues to the forefront at the school. The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), representing 60,000 marketers worldwide, has accredited Les Roches as a study centre, and allows BBA students the opportunity to challenge their Advanced Certificate external exam.

The Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) gives students with an interest in financial management the opportunity to take their choice of electives to prepare for an external ACCA certificate award.
